Chirk Pantoholics

In 1993 the world of pantomime came back to Chirk after a lapse of almost 30 years. The very first pantomime was presented in the Ceiriog Junior School Hall where large adjustments had to be made, and in particular to the lighting. More lights were hired, scenery had to be borrowed from various places, and costumes were either hired or made, but mostly hired or borrowed. All this took place under the supervision of Christine Ashford and Brenda Wilford as Producer. Rehearsals went well, and finally everyone was ready for the first night despite the very heavy snowfall on that day. The school hall was packed with approximately 250 people. Since that time "Pantoholics" has grown from strength to strength producing in total fifteen pantomimes.
